"May the Devil shit on their graves"

The Shafia Family were found GUILTY of murdering a mother and three children.
I hope Mohammed, Hamed and Tooba Yahya enjoy their "honourable" life behind bars.

The term "Honour Killing" is oxymoronic, there is NO honour in killing, though I'm sure many military personnel would disagree with my opinion.

My heart weeps for the three innocent lives that were lost in a fruitless pursuit of some antiquated abstract notion, which is nothing but a bastardization of the very meaning of the word 'honour'.
There is NO honour in murder
There is NO honour in obstructing justice
There is NO honour to be found in a prison cell.

Shafia, Tooba and Hamed have brought nothing but SHAME upon their family with their cowardly actions.

The title for this journal is a quote from Mohammed Shafia. He was talking about his wife*, and his own flesh and blood, his three daughters.
Perhaps ironically, this quote sums up the way many people feel about him and the two accomplices within his family, who plotted to kill four innocent females.

I don't believe in any god or devil, only good and bad.
I know only too well that evil exists, and I fervently hope that goodness outweighs evil.
What this trio did was decidedly evil and inhumane, which is why the life sentence that each murderer received was just.
I don't get many opportunities to say our justice system worked, but this is just such a case.

There were no gods at work here, and no honour, just people. People who needed to be made an example, in the name of law, order, and justice.

Salaam Shalom Aloha Peace. There are no gods out there.

*Mohammad Shafia had two wives.
He's probably got a cellmate now....I wish the two of them all the happiness a jail can offer.

Scar City Execution SadnessA place I grew up is considered a "known location of gang activity".
When I was a kid, a cobbler worked down there, underneath the plaza at Brimley and Lawrence.
For those of you too young to know what I mean by cobblers...it was a shoe repair shop, tucked underneath the corner convenience store.
The man that used to lease the place smartly decided to have some sidelines other than shoe repair...
He sharpened skates.
He cut spare keys.
Getting skates sharpened is a necessity for the many young hockey players and figure skaters in Canada, which ensured this man stayed solvent, I'm guessin
Mistaken Identity Ice Cream DEATHCharles McGillvary wanted an ice cream cone, but instead, he was assaulted and killed by the Police in a case of mistaken identity.
The police, you see, were ANGRY at Charles because he didn't respond right away, when they called him RAYMOND.
So they beat him to death, and now they've conveniently cleared themselves of any wrong-doing. http://www.torontosun.com/2012/01/19/siu-finds-no-ground-for-charges-in-mcgillivary-death

Do I need to even tell you how I feel about police attacking a person with a developmental delay issue?
